Sources: Dorchester Collection pages and floor plans for the Hôtel Plaza Athénée, checked on 17 September 2026. The downloadable plans and the website give noticeably different capacities for several salons; the website figures are shown here and must be confirmed with the hotel.
The Plaza Athénée is inseparable from the avenue Montaigne and from the fashion houses that line it, which is why so many brand dinners, press events and private presentations take place there. Its salons are sized for intimate, high-profile occasions rather than large audiences, and its restaurants and courtyard add settings that few Paris hotels can offer.
Luxury brand dinners and presentations, press and client events during fashion weeks, board meetings and receptions of up to about 150 guests in the Salon Haute Couture, which can be extended with the adjoining Salon Organza. For larger or more atmospheric evenings, the Cour Jardin, Le Relais Plaza and Le Bar can be reserved exclusively.
The two main salons are on the ground floor, with a private entrance for events at 27 avenue Montaigne, while the Création salons are upstairs and can be combined into one room. Exclusive use of the hotel does not include private access to the spa. Fashion weeks bring intense demand on this address: check dates early.
In the same district, compare the Four Seasons Hotel George V, and on the Tuileries, Le Meurice, also part of the Dorchester Collection. All palace and luxury hotels are compared in our guide to Paris hotels with event space, and seated evening capacities in our guide to gala dinner venues.
