Sources: Atelier des Lumières private hire website and visitor pages, checked on 17 September 2026. The venue quotes both 1,500 m² for the hall and 2,000 m² for the whole space; confirm capacities for your layout.
The Atelier des Lumières turns an event into an experience without any additional scenography: the walls and floor of the former foundry are covered with moving projections of the current exhibition. That makes it one of the most effective venues in Paris for evenings meant to impress a large audience, provided the programme fits the venue’s schedule and supplier rules.
Company parties and client evenings of up to 1,000 guests at a cocktail, seated dinners of up to 500 in the hall, product launches that want a spectacular backdrop, and private morning or evening visits for teams of up to 100. The Studio suits a smaller dinner or a VIP area alongside a larger event.
Set-up can only start at 18:00, after the public closes, and the evening ends at 1:00, or 2:00 as an option, so production must be quick and well rehearsed. Caterers and other suppliers must be chosen from the venue’s referenced list. Because the projections are the décor, check which exhibition will be running on your date before briefing the creative team.
For a large blank-canvas hall in a heritage building, compare the Carreau du Temple; other atypical venues are compared in our guide to unique event spaces in Paris, and launch venues in our guide to product launch venues.
The hall hosts up to 1,000 guests at a cocktail and up to 500 at a seated dinner; the Studio up to 100 at a cocktail and 50 at dinner.
Evening hire runs from 18:00, when set-up starts, until 1:00, with an option to continue until 2:00.
The caterer and other suppliers must be chosen from the list of suppliers referenced by the venue.
